Oakland is an active congregation welcoming everyone into God’s family. We strive to live out our mission statement "Love God, Love People, Celebrate Life, Pass it Around" through our worship, and in the many ways we serve our communities and beyond.

Adult Education
At Oakland you will discover ministries and opportunities for all ages! This includes meaningful worship; a passion for service; and being a place where people can encounter God's healing love and care. We take seriously our mission to follow Jesus and love others through outreach projects in our local communities; and in our support of the service ministries of our denomination, the Church of the Brethren. The ways we live into this include: going as volunteers with Brethren Disaster Ministries and Children's Disaster Ministries to places that have been hit by various disasters; organizing a huge Yard Sale every summer that benefits Disaster Ministries; serving a meal at our local soup kitchen every month; giving away free clothing through the Clothing Bank in our church building; organizing a Christmas Party and gift collection for a local boy's home; and so much more! Many of the things we do are hands-on, and connect us directly to our neighbors. We also have active Sunday School classes for every age, and wonderful programming for children and youth. In addition to in-person worship at 10:30 AM, our services are available on Facebook Live every Sunday morning, and can be viewed any time.
